Editorial policy

Banyan Stories separates creative storytelling from factual claims and makes that difference visible to families.

Sources and evidence

Research starts with registered sources. A human reviewer checks each factual claim, its wording, and its source note before public approval. Evidence labels say whether a passage is supported, uncertain, disputed, unsupported, or fictional.

Culture and context

We avoid presenting one family's practice as universal. Regional, community, and family differences are named when they matter, and protected source text is paraphrased only when its permissions allow public use.

Safety and review

Every episode includes an age track, scare rating, and content note. Automation cannot approve an episode for families or for the public: those decisions belong to a human reviewer. English is the only release language until a translation receives its own review.
